THE STORY

Once upon a time, the monthly gaming meetup hosted by Tantrum House outgrew its meeting space (well, it had already outgrown it's first two locations...). And what started as a simple gathering of friends was becoming something more. It was clear it was time to try something new.
So the crew took a leap. They secured a big room at the Greenville library, lined up a food truck, partnered with their friendly local game store, and crossed their fingers in hopes that people would show up.
Before anyone could veto the idea, Will Meadows had designed a logo, printed the posters, and shared an announcement, and like that… TantrumCon was born! No one knew what to expect. No one knew how many people would come. And certainly no one imagined that this little gathering would grow into an annual tradition—causing Tantrum House to team up with experienced convention hosts and turning into something with international draw.
From there, it was upward and onward. Each year brought new faces, bigger venues, and more excitement. And with that excitement came one often recurring question:
“What do you do at TantrumCon… flip tables?”
The obvious answer:
"Yes. Yes, we will."
The Table Flipping Tournament became just one piece of the fun. There were shared meals paired with friendly competition (TournaMeals), there are play-to-wins and win-to-wins, there were tons of giveaways, live shows, magic, trivia, and as many creative, family-friendly experiences as the team could dream up.

Somewhere along the way, TantrumCon became about something even bigger. It’s not about “the new hotness” (though you’ll find plenty of unreleased and brand-new games there). It’s not about celebrity sightings (though designers, artists, publishers, and media personalities travel from far and wide to be there). It’s not even about board games (despite the massive library, learn-to-plays, tournaments, and special events). TantrumCon is about joy. It’s about gathering around the table with friends—old and new. It’s about staying up too late, laughing too hard, and playing too many games (if that's even possible). It’s about four straight days of connection, comradery, and shared experiences that somehow border on the magical.
And honestly? We still don’t know exactly where it’s all headed. But as long as we keep loving it—and doing it together—there’s no limit to what TantrumCon could become.
So… will you join us for the ride?
And to everyone who already has: thank you. THANK YOU! Truly. This community is what makes TantrumCon so special. Your support, your energy, your helping hands, and your encouragement mean more than we can say. You’re not just part of the story.
You’re the reason we keep telling it.
