POLICIES

TantrumCon is all about having fun! We want to spend this weekend with all of our friends, playing lots of great games. In order for us to have a great convention, it’s important to put a few rules in writing so that we all feel respected, safe, and on the same page.
We take violence and harassment of attendees at TantrumCon very seriously. We pride ourselves on having a family-friendly convention and will not tolerate unacceptable behavior, which includes but is not limited to:
Offensive verbal comments including but not limited to: gender, race, religion, or disability.
Use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces
Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention
Nonconsensual photographs
Sustained disruption of events or disorderly conduct
Engaging in any of these acts puts you at risk for immediate removal from the convention, and permanent ban from TantrumCon events in the future. If at any time a Staff Member determines your behavior to be inappropriate, you may be asked to leave the convention.
If you feel threatened while at TantrumCon, or witness a situation that you think may be a problem, it is your responsibility to immediately report it to a TantrumCon staff member. Please go directly to the Registration Desk for immediate assistance. We want to help you, so please make us aware of anything that happens that concerns you.
Our goal at TantrumCon is to help you have a great time with as few restrictions as possible, but there are a few basic rules that must be followed:
Badges must be visible at all times when in convention space. You will not be allowed to participate in any convention events without having a badge and you may be asked to leave the convention if you don’t have a badge visible.
We cannot offer refunds on TantrumCon badges. We understand that sometimes plans change. If you email [email protected] before midnight on January 1, 2025 we can transfer your badge to someone else’s name. A financial exchange is your responsibility to transact, bearing in mind that TantrumCon does not allow attendees to sell badges for profit.
Organized events are set up and run by volunteers. Please respect them by following the rules they set up for their events, as they have final call on what happens during their event. You may report problematic event organizers (as they can report problematic players) to the Registration Desk.
Children must be attended by an adult (or teen sibling) at all times during the convention. We have adults/teens leading events for children, but it is ultimately the responsibility of parents (or trusted adults) to supervise their children.
Flyers or promotional items must be reviewed and approved by TantrumCon before being distributed. We reserve the right to prohibit material at our discretion. If we haven’t approved it in advance, our crew will likely remove the materials and you may be asked to leave.
TantrumCon is a fun gaming experience in a great hotel. We’ll have crew members around keeping an eye on things, but when it comes down to it your personal security and the safety of your property are your responsibility. TantrumCon and its staff are not responsible or liable for any loss of items or property or the physical safety of attendees, volunteers, vendors, or guests. We do maintain a “Lost & Found” area at the Registration Desk and will be happy to reunite you with any lost property if possible.
Police will be notified of anyone found stealing or harming another person.
During TantrumCon you may find yourself at some time or other in front of a camera. TantrumCon reserves the right to use the likeness of any volunteers, attendees, guests, or vendors in video or still images or audio recording for promotional purposes. By registering or volunteering for TantrumCon, you are consenting to our use of your likeness for such promotional purposes.
Outside food and drink and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the convention space. You may purchase concessions tickets online before or during the convention, attend events with food, and use the hotel restaurant.
Regardless of what you eat/drink, please do so responsibly—and clean up your trash :)
Finally, remember that TantrumCon reserves the right to revoke convention badges and have any person(s) removed from the convention/hotel should the need arise.
Any person or company who represents professionally at TantrumCon through sponsorship, exhibitor booth, artist, demo, or advertising table, must adhere to all of the policies above. In addition, the display of offensive material or disruptive sounds/music may be cause for removal from the convention.
And now for the really fine print...
All TantrumCon Attendees shall protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless Tantrum House, LLC, TantrumCon, LLC, and Tabletop Enterprises, LLC, its affiliated corporations, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, and employees from and against any and all costs and expenses, damages, claims, suits, actions, liabilities, losses, and judgments including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and legal expenses, based on, arising out of, or in any way related or connected with the Convention or any other matter or activity directly or indirectly related to the Convention, including but not limited to libel, slander, disparagement, defamation, copyright infringement, invasion of privacy, piracy, plagiarism, or infringement of any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property right of any third party. This obligation shall continue beyond the length of the convention.
