VOLUNTEERS

Best for you if you:

  • Enjoy helping people

  • Like organized tasks

  • Want flexible support roles

  • Prefer behind-the-scenes work

What Volunteers Do:

  • Registration Desk — Great location for happy people with customer service and computer skills!

  • Board Game Library — Must be organized and able to recommend games to people.

  • Special Events — Be ready to setup, decorate, check names off a list, or whatever we need!

  • Family Gaming — Help facilitate open gaming, crafts, and scheduled events (teen volunteers welcome here—age 15+).

  • Show Logistics — Lots of lifting, bag stuffing, moving items, putting up signs and similar set up tasks.

  • Miniature Painting — Helping attendees get set up to paint during Open Painting or classes and cleaning up.

  • TournaMeals — Volunteer to serve meals, teach games, and help facilitate these events.

Time Commitment:

  • 12–14 hours total

GAME MASTERS

Best for you if you:

  • Love teaching games

  • Know rules well

  • Enjoy leading groups

  • Want to run Learn-To-Play or RPG sessions

What GMs Do:

  • Teach Learn-To-Play games

  • Run board games or RPG sessions

  • Create fun, inclusive table experiences

Commitment Requirement:

  • Minimum of 6 games taught or 3 RPGs run

Additional Notes:

  • RPGs are coordinated through Luck Factory Games. Please contact them directly if you want to run RPG sessions.

  • Both hours and number of games are considered for badge qualification.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS / BADGE INFO

  • Volunteers and Game Masters must be 18 years or older, unless provided an exception by TantrumCon staff. We have some areas where teen volunteers are welcome. (exceptions may be granted — contact [email protected]).

  • No badge purchase required if requirements are met

  • If you’ve already purchased a badge, we can refund it, but there is a transaction fee plus a $2 reimbursement processing fee.

  • Optional Premier Badge: If you would like to purchase a Premier Badge for the added perks, we can make arrangements to reimburse the cost of a General Attendee Badge.
